Nina Métayer has several titles, including the prestigious The World's 50 Best Restaurants and the International Union of Bakers and Pastry Chefs. Moreover, she is the only woman to have won this title. “Bakery has long been a very male-dominated profession. Today, many women are entering the profession. We must therefore allow time for them to take their place in the kitchens”she declares.

Nina Métayer trained with the greatest chefs: Yannick Alléno, Jean-François Piège. She then opened her own factory, Délicatesserie, in Issy-les-Moulineaux (Hauts-de-France), to sell her prestigious cakes online. A risky and daring bet for the pastry chef who remains humble: “I just focused on the product and my teams. We want to produce exceptional cakes for our customers. Over time, we have built customer loyalty. We grew little by little”she explains.
