The FJEPS scrabble section is organizing a tournament, under the aegis of the French French-speaking Scrabble Federation, on Saturday February 1 at 2 p.m., in its premises at 4 Impasse des Alouettes. This event, organized as part of the Classic Scrabble Tour de France, is intended to introduce classic Scrabble one-on-one, with the participation of licensed players (series B and C), or non-licensed players. Pierre Salvati, responsible for the training side of the club, which takes care of new players in particular, explains: “This initiation tournament allows the neophytes who participate to have fun and not fall against too strong players. This can also allow to qualify for the final of the French classic championship which will take place on June 21 in Rueil-Malmaison. The competition is placed under the control of a specific dictionary, the ODS (Official Scrabble), renewed every 5 years. The one in force is starting its 3rd year and will be valid for another 2 years. It is a commission which manages new words or releases, within the international federation. The second stage of this Tour de France will take place on Saturday March 15.
