2025, this is the year of l’innovation for the CHD of Vendée, with Vend’ Images. there will no longer be any need to bring Burned CD with its images at each specialist medical appointment. Now health centers will be able to exchange THE images of their patients between them.
All types of images: x-rays, ultrasounds, magnetic resonance imaging or nuclear medicine. “As long as they are configured in the appropriate format, they can be transmitted by practitioners using specialized software. »
Au CHD from La Roche-sur-Yon, the doctor Marion Caza, radiologist and head of department present, accompanied by doctors Guillaume Ondet, Lucie Chouquet et Mélanie Gérard, presents Vend' Images, this new medical image sharing between public and private actors in the Vendée region.
A practical tool for professionals and patients
Although the innovation is recent in Vendée and it delights health professionals in the radiology department, it is not unique in France. “Above all, we had to get up to speed,” explains Dr. Caza. For the radiology service of the hospital, it will facilitate the life of image prescribers.
Because previously, “if the patient went to the CHD for an examination, and he did not have the CD of his engraved X-ray carried out at the Saint-Charles clinic for example, the examination had to be repeated. »
€200 savings
Knowing that a simple radio costs average €200 to the Social security, the simple and rapid transfer via this software would make it possible to make savings, but also disengage the service by avoiding redundant examinations and saving time in treatment.
“It’s time and they’re X-rays,” comments Doctor Ondet. Let us remember, the exhibition too much frequent to rays X may ultimately lead to risks of cancers.
Funded by the ARS
The regional agency of health (ARS) financed 80% this projectas part of the Segur digital. It's a programme launched in 2021. Its ambition is to fluidify and of secure the sharing of data health between professionals and patients. “To better care and better support. »
-THE 20 % remaining, are at the charge of each of project actors. “This mainly corresponds to the acquisition of digital equipment to connect with each other,” explains the head of department.
A web/sector portal
Because innovation does not stop in 2025 at the CHD de Vendée. In partnership with the CH Loire Vendée Ocean located at Challans, these hospitals in Vendée will very soon set up a accessible web portal with a identifier and a passwordallowing you to recover your x-ray images and to be able to to transmit to any doctor. The radio prescriber will also receive an email with a report.
Like a blood test
Exactly as when we do a blood test. THE results will be press releases via a platform. And the doctor will have access to it too.
The platform applies to everything medical imaging : radios, scanners, IRM… “This again avoids burning a CD and the patient being the vector of this CD between their doctors. »
For the radiology department of the CHD of La Roche-sur-Yon, this portal will facilitate the life of the patient.
Complementary innovations
“The patient will be able to send their results to any doctor”, via Vend'Images. “He will only have to create an account on the platform. » In this, the two innovations are complementary.
Opening the web portal should be done during February.
