-A trial to understand the ordeal of Amandine, who was 13 years old at the time of her death in 2020. Tortured for five months by her mother in a house where she was confined and deprived of food. At the time of her death, Amandine weighed only 28 kg and 1.55 m, an image that her father will never forget. Separated from the mother of his children, he had almost no contact with his daughter.
Sandrine Pissara, Amandine's mother, continued, this Monday, January 20, during the hearing, to minimize the facts. However, the young girl's ordeal was filmed by a surveillance camera placed in the storage room where she was locked up. For Sandrine Pissara's lawyer, her client is not the only one responsible.
The abuse against Amandine had been the subject of several reports to the children's judge. None resulted in a placement. Since then, the treatment of this type of case has been reviewed. Psychologists notably support social workers.
