Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko launched an appeal to administration workers for scrupulous respect for the rules of ethics and professional conduct which govern their profession. He spoke this Monday at the Conference of Public Administrators and Managers, organized at the Abdou Diouf International Conference Center (CICAD) in Diamniadio.
In his speech, the Prime Minister urged participants to banish and firmly combat all forms of deviance and breach of the principles of ethics and professional conduct.
“Our administration is often, unfortunately, in the spotlight due to scandalous waves, marked by files of corruption, over-invoicing of markets, influence peddling, embezzlement of public funds, as well as land misappropriation and real estate”, he lamented.
Ousmane Sonko also recalled that in the global corruption index, our country ranks 123rd out of 190 countries. From now on, the Prime Minister has assured that no breach of the rules of ethics and professional conduct will be tolerated.
-“Beyond the educational and preventive aspect to which we devote appropriate training, I would like to confirm to you that with the election of President Bassirou Diomaye Faye on March 24, 2024, we have now entered an era of zero tolerance. This approach aims both at the detection and sanctioning of occult practices, in accordance with our commitments to be accountable to the people,” he said.
