This Saturday, January 18, 2025, the wishes of the Junior Economic Chamber (JCE) of Tarn-et-Garonne took place at the Estang golf course, in the presence of more than 60 people, including many entrepreneurs and local elected officials: Vincent Roberti, Prefect of Tarn-et-Garonne, Catherine Bourdoncle, vice-president of the Departmental Council, Sabrina Delrieu, Isabelle Laveron and Rodolphe Portoles, Regional Councilors, Marie-Claude Berly, President of Grand Montauban and Mayor of Montauban Thierry Deville, Vice-President of Grand Montauban The President of the JCE, Sébastien Mignot, and his office presented their wishes for the year 2025. This strong moment of conviviality and sharing allowed us to look back on the impactful actions of the association in 2024 and to discuss the future ambitions of a dynamic and visionary movement. A speech full of hope and commitment, Sébastien Mignot, 37 years old, communications manager in the public service, expressed the honor he feels in chairing the JCE of Tarn-et-Garonne, after two years of active commitment within the association. “We, volunteers, chose the JCE because it is much more than an association: it is a great idea. An idea of peace, freedom, chance and opportunity,” he said. Recalling the values and heritage of the Junior Economic Chamber, at the origin of numerous civic advances such as short emergency numbers and World Children's Rights Day, he underlined the potential of each volunteer to have a positive impact the society and its local territory. The JCE Tarn-et-Garonne has carried out emblematic projects in 2024:
FestiDurablea festive and eco-responsible event in Montauban, with more than 20 exhibitors and hundreds of visitors. The Competition for young sustainable development entrepreneursbringing together six local talents and promoting the innovation of entrepreneurial youth. All VINgt of the monththe monthly meeting honoring the winegrowers of Tarn-et-Garonne, with 700 bottles sold and 1,200 participants, made it possible to have a direct economic impact for the territory and local winegrowers. JCE members have also distinguished themselves on the regional, national and international scene, traveling more than 20,000 km in 2024 to represent committed local youth, going from Occitanie to Finland, via Switzerland. For this new year 2025, the JCE renews its commitment with major actions: Renewal of All VINgt of the month with a desire to expand it to the communities surrounding Montauban. A Blood donation dayin collaboration with the Departmental Council and the University Center. “Let’s save the babies”an action to raise awareness of first aid procedures for children. And above all, the organization of Occitanie Regional JCE Congress in Montauban, with more than a hundred young citizens who are members of the JCE from all over Occitania and even abroad expected. A great opportunity to highlight our territory, local businesses sensitive to sustainable development and institutions supporting local initiatives on youth and sustainable development issues. The JCE of Tarn-et-Garonne also aims to strengthen its international influence through a twinning with a Swiss JCE, around a common point unique in the world, the production of Chasselas, while continuing to proudly represent Tarn-et-Garonne on a global scale, through various JCE trips. The President of the association concluded his speech with a call for collective commitment: “In 2025, we want to act with you: elected officials, communities, businesses and associations. Join us, become partners of the JCE to create innovative projects together and amplify our impact! “. The ceremony was also particularly moving with the presentation of internal trainer diplomas at the JCE to two members of the JCE of Tarn-et-Garonne; as well as the induction ceremony of a new member, Jessica Maillot, in the presence of her entire family.
