“Guess how much we paid? »: in Paris, a Spanish influencer is offended by the price of Ladurée macarons

Andrea Noguero, a Spanish influencer active on the social network TikTok, saw one of her videos set the internet ablaze in recent days and garnered more than 2.5 million views. Last September, the young woman, passing through , denounced the high prices charged by the renowned macaron brand Ladurée, located on the Champs-Élysées, in the 8th arrondissement of the capital.

“We are in Paris and we came to have a coffee,” explains Andrea Noguero before showing herself to be totally offended by the bill she has just received. “Guess how much we paid for five coffees, a bottle of water and three macaroons? », she asks before showing in amazement a note for 83 euros.

A “real scam” she believes, indicating the price of a simple bottle of Evian water displayed at 12 euros. Outraged by the amount to pay, the TikToker encourages her subscribers not to set foot in this establishment.

In the thousands of comments left below the video, Internet users do not all seem to be of the same opinion. Many tend to defend the brand, or at least point out that given the reputation and location of the place, this addition is not surprising.

“It’s pastry that makes the best macarons in the world, it’s a question of gastronomic and cultural know-how”, “it’s Ladurée, it’s normal, you don’t go to the Ritz expecting that the coffee is one euro”, or even “83 euros divided into 5 people, that's 16.60 euros per person. It’s totally normal in Paris, don’t act surprised,” we can read. When contacted, the Ladurée brand did not respond to us.
