This Friday, January 17, the awards ceremony for the sporting challenge “Le Défi Gersois” took place at the Le Continental hotel in Condom, in front of around fifty people, including a fine representation of the Astarac Fond Club and the Leitora Trail. This challenge is organized by the “Défi Gersois” association. It was calculated on the results of 25 running races run in the department out of the 35 races organized in 2024.
We will note the beautiful duel among the women with only 1 point difference validated in the last race of the challenge of the year in Saint-André.
After the speech given by the president of the Défi Gersois, the prize giving ceremony could begin with the planned prizes, trophies, overnight stays and spa tickets offered by Véronique Sémézies of the Le Continental hotel, bottles of Floc de Gascogne, gift vouchers and down jackets flocked in the colors of the Défi Gersois.

In men:
1st: Loïc DERREY with 2951 points for 21 races
2nd: Mattéo BLESZ with 2847 for 17 races
3rd: Patrick BENQUET with 2197 for 23 races
For girls
1st: Morgane BRAJON with 2850 for 17 races
2nd: Simone MAMPRIN with 2849 points for 23 races
3rd: Marie ORTET with 2675 points for 21 races

M1/M2: Sébastien DONDELLI with 1959 points for 11 races
M3/M4: Sylvain LAPORTE with 1943 points for 16 races

M7/M8: Bernard LAFFORGUE with 1744 points for 17 races
For girls:
Se/M0: Alice MILHAS with 1357 for 7
M1/M2: Sophie ROGISTER with 1439 points for 12 races
M3/M4: Donatelle DECHES with 1429 points for 9 races
M5/M6: Patricia BERTUZZI with 757 points for 10 races
as well as the people who have participated in the greatest number of races and not won the scratch prize.

Finally, those present were invited to vote to define the most beautiful Challenge race in 2024 and it was the Leitora Trail de Lectoure (which will be run this year on February 15), which came away with the title.
For the year 2025, 37 races were planned in the Gers but unfortunately one of them (Trail to finish in Gimont) abandoned its project. 30 will be part of the Défi Gersois 2025 with distances ranging from 8.5 to 16 kilometers.
