Expected for release on June 18 in French theaters and two days later in the United States, the film marks Danny Boyle’s big return behind the camera, six years later. Yesterday. Unfortunately, if the second part is present in the Disney+ catalog, 28 days later has been unavailable for sale for a long time in physical format, digitally and on SVODs. At issue: rights problems, resulting from the absence of a clause concerning digital platforms in the deal signed between Fox Searchlight – formerly 21st Century Fox and now owned by Disney – and the UK Film Council, preventing the availability of the film on video-on-demand services.

Indeed, although Sony Pictures France has not communicated on this subject, 28 days later is, since Tuesday January 21, 2025, available for purchase and rental on VOD platforms.
