Macabre discovery. Around midnight: 30, on the night of Saturday January 18 to Sunday January 19, a 40-year-old man and a cat were found dead after the fire in an apartment building in Issoire (Puy-de-Dôme).
The seriously burned victim
When help arrived, smoke and flames emerged from a dwelling on the second floor, reports The Mountain.
After putting out the fire, the firefighters discovered and extracted from the charred apartment the lifeless body of the victim who was badly burned.

The body of a cat was also found in the home, our colleagues add.
Two other occupants of the building, unharmed, were relocated. The police are investigating to find out what happened. The fire could be of origin accidental.
