Free from any contract since his departure from PSG in June 2024, Keylor Navas has a verbal agreement with the Argentine club Newell's Old Boys reports the newspaper Olé. The Costa Rican goalkeeper is expected to arrive in Argentina during the week.
A surprising choice. Free to sign up with the club of his choice since the end of his contract with Paris Saint-Germain in June 2024, Costa Rican goalkeeper Keylor Navas is about to sign up with the Argentine club Newell's Old Boys reports the local newspaper Olé. The two parties have already reached an agreement.

It was the Costa Rican newspaper La Nacion which first reported contacts between the two, with Newell's Old Boys looking for a goalkeeper. It would also have been coveted by the Chileans of Colo Colo and by San Lorenzo, still in Argentina. But Navas would now have an economic agreement with the Rosario club.
“The agreement is already in place. All that's missing is the signing of the contract. He will arrive in Argentina on Wednesday or Thursday,” explained a source to Olé. Free from any contract, Keylor Navas should commit to Newell's for one year.
-Absent from the field since May 2024
The 38-year-old hasn't played for eight months. His last match dates back to May 19, 2024, during the Parisians' 2-0 victory over Metz in Ligue 1. He is a symbol of his country's national team, with 114 appearances, but he has already announced his retirement from the selection. Their last match was a friendly against Argentina, which ended in a 3–1 defeat, on 26 March.
He would thus discover his fourth country, after having played at Albacete, Levante, Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, and Nottingham Forest. Losing momentum in his last seasons, he had not managed to establish himself at PSG since the arrival of Gigio Donnarumma.
