The first edition of the Conference of Public Administrators and Managers (Camp) opens this Monday at the Abdou Diouf International Conference Center (Cicad) in Diamniadio.
This now annual meeting, requested by the Head of State Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye, will bring together the main leaders of the public and parapublic sector.
This event follows the first government seminar organized on April 27, 2024, aimed at strengthening the coherence and effectiveness of public action. Continuing this dynamic, it was decided to establish, each first quarter of the year, a national meeting bringing together all public administrators and managers. This meeting, called Camp (Conference of public administrators and managers), will constitute a space for sharing, strategic orientation and mobilization around the major challenges of governance and the management of public policies, according to the press kit produced by the Presidency. of the Republic.
The objective of this first edition is mainly to remind participants of certain fundamentals in the field of public governance, the conduct and control of public action.
The Conference of public administrators and managers will also serve as a framework to present Vision Senegal 2050, for a sovereign, just and prosperous Senegal, expose the main axes of the finance law for the year 2025, shed light on the organization and the functioning of administrations, as well as digital transformation within the public sphere, and highlight the importance of good governance and control of public action through various communications from regulatory and verification institutions.
-With this initiative, President Bassirou Diomaye Faye reaffirms his commitment to effective and ethical public management, placing Senegal on the path to sustainable and inclusive development.
Many leading personalities are expected at this event, including the Prime Minister, members of the government, leaders of central and parapublic administrations, as well as representatives of regulatory institutions such as the Court of Auditors and the Mediator of the Republic.
