In Calvados, this chief magistrate wants to find solutions against flooding

During the traditional ceremony of wishes, Tony Alimeck, maire of Maizières (Calvados)near Falaise, presented the different actions, implemented within the municipality, to the Macériens. In his speech, the mayor returned to the floods which hit some fellow citizens last week.

“They hit your homes and your property.” In an emergency, the first magistrate makes “an appointment with the people concerned and the Dives Union to resolve this increasingly frequent phenomenon”.

The program to bury overhead networks continues. After rue de l'Église, rue de l'Ormelaie and chemin de la ferme d'Asseville, rue Berthe and rue du Major Styffe (Rouvres side) will be affected in March 2025. Work on the roof of the church were carried out successfully.

“The very long procedure for taking over the graves is soon over,” explains the councilor.

The sixty tombs left abandoned will disappear in favor of sites in order to create new concessions.

At the end of the evening, Tony Alimeck approached the Macerians to toast the New Year in front of the buffet.
