A former Scuderia Ferrari executive believes that the arrival of Lewis Hamilton could allow the Italian firm to aim for the constructors' and drivers' world championship titles in 2025.
Last season, Ferrari finished second in the constructors' championship, narrowly beaten by McLaren. Charles Leclerc (3rd) and Carlos Sainz (5th) have gleaned no less than five Grand Prix victories, confirming the rise in power of the Italian team.
With Hamilton, seven-time world champion, Ferrari hopes to finally return to a driver's title, a wait that has lasted since the title won by Kimi Raïkkonen in 2007.

“I'm a big fan of Lewis. I love him, I love what he does for sport and what he does outside of sport”, Rob Smedley, a former Ferrari engineer, told the Red Flags podcast.
“I am very happy that he is going to Ferrari. I think it's a good thing. It's weird for all of us when a driver of this caliber changes teams, after having had so much success with another team. But we get over it quickly.”
-“It’s good for the sport. There’s no downside, no downside.”
“If he can win his eighth championship as a Ferrari driver, it's a fairy tale. Lewis will take the team to the next level to make it a more complete team”, a conclu Rob Smedley.
