Snow soon returning to Orne? Météo places the department in yellow vigilance for the phenomenon snow and ice. The weather alert begins at 6 p.m. this Saturday, January 18, 2025, and extends until 10 a.m., Sunday, January 19, 2025.

In a publication, the prefect of Orne calls to caution: “Limit your travel and adapt your driving if you have to take the road. »

The departments of , Eure, , Mayenne and Manche are also concerned by this vigilance .

Negative temperatures and freezing fog

In line with a cold start to the year, temperatures will once again drop in the evening, before reaching negative values in the night.

Thus, Météo France announces – 3° and freezing fogin the town of Saint-Chrsitophe-de-Chaulieu. It will be -2° in Flers, Domfront, La Ferté-Macé, -1° in Alençon, Argentan and the thermometer will flirt with zero in Nogent-le-Rotrou.

Vigilant until Sunday morning

These negative temperatures will continue on Sunday January 19, 2025 in the morning, with mist and fog banks forecastparticularly in Flers.

You will have to wait until midday to see the thermometer display positive valuesand even the sun peeks through the clouds. It will be up to 4° in Argentan.

The night from Sunday 19 to Monday 20 January 2025 is coming fraîchewith temperatures set to drop back to around zero.
