Immerse yourself in the interior of a house in Saint-Géry, grasp the dark reality of the slave trade, experience the revolutionary days of Bégoux… The Departmental Archives of Lot open their doors and their documents on Friday January 24 from 6 to 8 p.m. hours for Reading Nights. The evening will be punctuated by the live reading of texts carried by the Ilot Z' company: at 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
But you can also read for yourself – out loud, why not? – a selection of texts made available to you in the unusual, nocturnal, atmosphere of the aptly named reading room…
It will be the heritage of the intimate which will be honored with documents emanating from private funds (memories, account books or books of reason, life stories) or acts recorded by a notary (testament, inventories after death, contracts).
