After successes in the automobile and aeronautics industries, Moroccan industry is entering a new phase with the production of new generation heavy-duty trucks. This project, the result of a partnership between Premium Group and the Chinese manufacturer Shacman, marks a turning point in the transport industry in Morocco.
After having recorded numerous successes in the automobile and aeronautics sectors, Moroccan industry is entering a new phase of development with the launch of the production and assembly of new generation heavy-duty trucks. This project is the result of a strategic partnership between “Premium Group”, a company based in Casablanca, and the Chinese manufacturer Shacman. This collaboration marks an important step for the transport industry in Morocco, and is part of an objective of strengthening the industrial independence of the country, while meeting the growing needs of the national and international market.
The first heavy-duty trucks “made in Morocco” were produced under the Shacman X6000 brand, a model that stands out for its advanced technical characteristics. This vehicle is presented as a revolution in the field of long-distance transport. With a local integration rate of 40%, this project demonstrates the development potential of Moroccan industry, like the automotive sector where the integration rate is between 60 and 70%. According to Premium Group, the Shacman X6000 redefines the standards of heavy transport, thanks to features that combine performance, safety and comfort.
The X6000 truck complies with Euro 5 standards and has strong commercial potential both on the national and export markets, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa and beyond. Equipped with an engine whose power varies between 380 and 550 horsepower, it develops a maximum torque of 2,350 Nm. Two transmission options are offered: a 12-speed manual gearbox and a 16-speed automatic gearbox. Its tank of more than 1,400 liters gives it exceptional autonomy, ideal for long-distance journeys, particularly to Europe and Africa.
-Comfort and safety are also major strengths of the X6000. The truck features a double berth for long trips, an integrated air conditioning system, designed to withstand extreme temperatures, and numerous safety systems. These devices include a retarder for managing descents, an Edictive Power Control system that optimizes driving through predictive analysis of road conditions, as well as a drowsiness detector, a lane departure device and advanced telematics for real-time fleet management.
Premium Group, a major player in Africa, offers a wide range of products and services covering various sectors such as construction, mining, transport, industry, agriculture and irrigation. For its part, Shacman is a renowned Chinese manufacturer, specializing in the manufacture of heavy goods vehicles, dump trucks, tractors, buses, as well as a wide range of military and utility vehicles. This promising partnership opens new perspectives for Moroccan industry and its international influence.
