The last time we spoke to Dan Erickson, almost three years ago, he was still an illustrious unknown, author of an anticipation scenario as ambitious as it was mind-blowing to which Ben’s production company Stiller and the Apple TV + platform had chosen to bring it to life. The day the purchase of his project was announced, this screenwriter from the East Coast of the United States was delivering fruits and vegetables to Los Angeles, which means he no longer expected what ‘Hollywood embraces its morality tale of workplace alienation. When we spoke, he still seemed surprised that his dream had come true and that the first season of “Severance” was finally rolling out after years spent refining, with Ben Stiller and the production, this television UFO.
Since then, the series, which has enjoyed a (late) critical triumph, has garnered 14 Emmy nominations, benefits from more than favorable word of mouth and is regularly hailed by the profession on both sides of the Atlantic as the most more sophisticated deployed on the small screen for ages.
