The local teams returned to the department's lawns last weekend for the round of 16 of the Yvelines Football Cup. And the least we can say is that the spectacle was there, between the twists and turns, the goals you name it and even a penalty shootout. It was in Épône, on the USBS pitch, that the qualification was decided by penalties, and in this little game, it was FC Aubergenville who came out on top (3-3, 4 tab 3 ).
At the same time, Poissy FC won on the pitch of Carrières Grésillons (2-3), while Montesson won Marly-le-Roi (4-3). Another prolific match in terms of goals, that between Football Olympique Plaisirois and Bailly-Noisy, which ultimately turned to the advantage of the locals (4-3). Two reserve teams also validated their ticket for the quarters: this is the case of those of Trappes (2-1 against Voisins FC) and OFC Les Mureaux (4-1 at Viroflay). Team 3 of FC Mantois got the better of FC Versailles 3-2.
FC Mantois eliminated from the Paris Cup
For its first match of 2025, FC Mantois got its feet wet. The Mantais are now eliminated from the Coupe de Paris Crédit Mutuel Île-de-France after their defeat, last Saturday at the Aimé-Bergeal stadium, against the Flamboyants de Villepinte with a score of 3 goals to 2.
A misstep that will have to be quickly forgotten before the reception in Saint-Denis this Saturday, January 18, at 6 p.m., for the 11th day of R1.
