After congratulating municipal employees for their involvement in the installation of Christmas decorations, volunteers and associations for the dynamism of the municipality, the mayor gave a quick assessment of the achievements of the year 2024, in particular the creation of a nursery. “The goal is to save the school which functions very well in RPI (intercommunal educational grouping) with the neighboring municipality of Saulgond” he underlined.
Henri de Richemont then announced several projects for the coming year, the finalization of the road developments of a subdivision and a major project with the department of Haute-Vienne, in partnership with the different communities of municipalities , that of Charente Limousine whose president Benoit Savy was present and from the neighboring department. But these projects are currently confidential and will be revealed later.
Another file on the mayor's desk, the creation of a pedestrian path which would start from the village hall and the nursery to walk towards the school through Saint Marie Park.
The mayor also paid tribute to all the community's key players and elected officials. Greeting the artisans and traders, he also recalled the importance of economic fabrics for a town like Étagnac.
