Motorists from the south of Oise and the north of Val-d'Oise are starting to find the weather long. They will nevertheless have to be patient for a few more weeks.
The access ramp to the old Rn 1 (Rd 301 in Val-d'Oise and Rd 1001 in Oise, Editor's note), riding between Chambly (Oise) and Persian (Val-d'Oise), will not reopen before the end of June 2025… at best.
Consolidated bridge
For more than a year, concrete blocks and diversion signs have prohibited entry to this road in the direction of Cergy-Pontoise and Paris.
The reason? A large crack appeared at the end of 2023 on one of the beams of the bridge deck which spans the former National Route 1.
The Val-d'Oise Departmental Council immediately placed the structure under “continuous surveillance”, ordered the closure of the integration route and set up a diversion.
The studies and assessments followed one another. We had to wait until the summer of 2024 and the end of “additional investigations” to see a little more clearly.
A solution was found to repair the crack, but by the time public contracts were launched and administrative constraints had been overcome, the delays had lengthened… to the great dismay of users, tired of having to extend their journey and endure traffic jams.
For the moment, motorists who wish to head towards Paris or Cergy-Pontoise must still take Rd 301-1001 towards Beauvais then turn around at the next roundabout between the town center of Chambly and the hamlet of Amblaincourt.
Night work
Patience ! The end of the tunnel is not so far away. Bridge consolidation work will begin in the coming weeks.
“The organization of the site is being finalized,” assures the Department of Val-d’Oise. Bridge repair work as well as the installation of gauge-limiting gantries will be carried out. »
If the project proceeds as planned, the access ramp to Rd 1001-301 will reopen to traffic at the end of the first half of 2025.
“During the duration of the work, traffic restrictions will continue. Certain phases will be carried out at night to limit the inconvenience of motorists,” adds the Val-d'Oise Departmental Council, which is devoting 1.25 million euros to this operation.
Agreement between neighbors
This ramp and the bridge are located on the border of the two departments, but it is Val-d'Oise which is responsible for its management and maintenance.
“This follows an agreement concluded between us, indicated the neighboring Departmental Council of Oise, in December 2023. This is a common situation when a road is at the borders of departments. This choice is made with a view to simplifying monitoring, maintenance and operating activities. »
For speed of execution, please wait a little longer…
