The Gallo'pains are multiplying. After Ploumagoar on April 21, 2009, Saint-Brieuc in June 2014, the third bakery of Lachuer brothers just opened its doors on January 3, 2025. The municipality of Begardwho was worried about only having one bakery a few weeks ago, now has three.

Place to take

Since 2018, the Lachuer brothers have been eyeing a location near the Intermarché.

The project not having come to fruition, a new opportunity presented itself.

“Since 2023 we have turned to 15 rue de Guingamp. »

A boon for the two craftsmen and their team.

Pulsat, the electronics, Hi-Fi and video store left the place vacant.

“We carried out work for three months from October 2024.”

Baker, a family story

“We are children of artisan bakers. »

“I'm in front and Mickaël is behind, exactly like my mother and father were. »

The skills of the two brothers complement each other, explains Arnaud:

“Mickaël trained as a baker and pastry chef, for me it’s the commercial aspect that takes precedence. I am present with my sales team. »

In his field, Arnaud does not lack experience:

“I was a sports salesman and in real estate, and we cut our teeth in mass distribution. »

At all homemade

The motto of Gallo'pains is clear:

“Everything homemade is our policy. »

Part of the supply is produced at Guingamp where there are more staff:

“In Guingamp, we have 10 salespeople, 6 pastry chefs, 5 bakers, 2 touriers, 3 snackers and 2 apprentices. »

A big team compared to 4 sellers from the Bégarre store.

However, there is more space in the new brand:

“The customer area is larger here. There is a self-service area and standing tables waiting for their stools. We don't mind drinking coffee. »

There should also be plenty of space for each of the three bakeries to make a living from their work and satisfy the town's almost 5,000 inhabitants.

Les Gallo'pains, 15 rue de Guingamp, Bgard. Open 6:30 a.m. continuously until 7:30 p.m. Closed Sunday.
