14 people placed under arrest warrant will be tried tomorrow

More than 25 people were arrested by the gendarmerie following demonstrations by the people of Paoskoto against the high cost of Flex’Eau water bills. Following their arrest, 13 cases were closed without further action while 14 others are in detention. They will be brought before the court tomorrow.

As a reminder, the populations of Paoskoto in the Nioro department organized a demonstration on January 10 to denounce the steep bills from Flex’Eau.
