A terrible tragedy occurred this Sunday morning in Zaïda, in the province of Midelt. A man in his forties lost his life while intervening in a domestic dispute which escalated.
According to local sources, a couple was arguing violently on the main street of Zaïda. The husband, in an uncontrollable rage, stabbed his wife in the stomach.
Witnessing the scene, a waiter from a nearby café intervened to try to calm things down. Unfortunately, the attacker turned on him and fatally stabbed him. The victim died a few minutes later.

According to the same sources, the husband was in a daze and tried to end his life by ingesting a toxic and flammable product after the attack.
The victim leaves behind a wife and four children. The body of the deceased was transferred to the Midelt morgue, while the injured woman was treated at the hospital. The perpetrator was taken into police custody and an investigation was opened by the competent authorities.
