Météo-France has placed two departments on orange alert for “floods” this Sunday and Monday January 13.
The Oise and the Aisne are placed on orange alert for “floods” this Sunday January 12 and will also be tomorrow, Monday January 13. Significant floods continue to spread across the middle Oise (dep 02 and 60).
“The successive disturbances observed last week led to moderate to significant overflows on a large number of rivers. A clear improvement has been observed since yesterday. The watercourses still have high levels, but the general trend is downward and the propagation of floods towards the downstream parts”, we can read in the 4 p.m. bulletin from Météo-France.
CRUES vigilance: the right behaviors to adopt
– I move away from waterways and bridges, I reach a high point where I take shelter upstairs.
– I do not take a submerged road, even partially.
– I avoid traveling and I keep informed about the weather conditions.
– I’m monitoring the rising waters.
– I don’t go down into the basement.
– I put my belongings out of the water and locate my emergency kit.
