After a gunshot was heard in an apartment, two men in their 40s were found injured by a sharp object. Two suspects are currently being sought by police.

Around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, a call was made to 911 for a gunshot that had been heard at an apartment located on rue Saint-Philippe, near rue Langevin, in the Sud-Ouest borough.
Arriving on the scene, the police located a first victim, a 41-year-old man, injured in the upper body by a sharp object.
Around 11:40 a.m., another call was made for a 44-year-old man who showed up injured in a business located not far away, on Saint-Antoine Street, near Saint-Ferdinand Street. He was also injured in the upper body by a sharp object.
“We presume that the person left the apartment to go and ask for help,” says Caroline Chèvrefils, media relations officer for the Montreal City Police Service (SPVM).
-The motive for the attack, which reportedly involved at least four individuals, is still unknown.
Both victims were taken to hospital and their lives are not in danger. “No one was injured by gunfire,” specifies Caroline Chèvrefils.
Two suspects reportedly fled before the police arrived and are being sought by police. At the time of writing, there had still been no arrests.
A security perimeter was erected at the scene to protect the scene. At the end of the afternoon, investigators were still on site trying to understand the causes and circumstances of this event. The canine unit was called in to help try to find evidence.
