“Raisonne”: a podcast dedicated to forgotten classical music composers

This project, initiated by Ilona Dipa classical musician of Lebanese origin, highlights the works and journeys of creative women, while adopting an educational and inclusive approach.

The meeting between Ilona Dip, passionate about classical music and eager to tell the story of these composers, and the studio “Les Bonnes Ondes”, an actor engaged in the creation of cultural content that inspires and raises awareness, was a decisive turning point. “When my daughter was born, I started to question the world we live in, especially as women. I also questioned my profession, realizing that as a music professional, no one had ever spoken to me about female composers. This awareness pushed me to look for these women, to ask myself if they had existed or if they had been erased from the musical landscape,” says Ilona Dip.

“Raisonne” is the fruit of a collaboration which is part of the common desire to make often forgotten voices heard, such as those of Gayané Chebotaryan, Rita Strohl, and to make accessible essential stories which enrich cultural heritage. The podcast is available on all major platforms.
