At the end of May, a call for help from Salima on the 17th triggered the dispatch of a patrol to Ameur's home in (Seine-et-). When the police showed up around 10:30 a.m., a very agitated man opened the door for them. As soon as they entered, they saw a woman crying, sitting on one of the first steps of the stairs. She presented red marks on the right cheek and complained of pain in one arm. To their surprise, they discovered that two children were in their room and had just witnessed the scene.

“I’m going to crash you!” I'm going to burst your head! »

By the time Salima regained her composure, they questioned Ameur who was content to acknowledge an argument the previous evening and a simple slap. But she was much more talkative. She recounted how the altercation had happened the previous evening over a simple car window left ajar by forgetfulness. Then she also described the events that occurred that morning, hence her phone call. The reason was still as futile: a problem with toothpaste not restocked. Ameur lost his temper and completely slipped up. A kitchen knife in handhe threatened his wife: “I’m going to screw you!” I'm going to burst your head! You don't answer me, you treat me like a dog! »

She claimed to have suffered violence on numerous occasions since her marriage but to have refrained from any action for a long time because of the children. In 2010, no longer able to tolerate her husband's uncontrolled anger, the degrading comments and the insults uttered in front of the children, she filed a complaint which led to Ameur being condemned. Despite this, the situation continued and the handrails have multiplied, the last one dating back a week, without putting an end to them.

Ameur was arrested and taken into police custody upon his arrival at the police station late in the morning. A few hours later, Salima entered the premises to register her complaint. After his detention period, he emerged free and returned home with a simple summons. In the meantime, Salima consulted the doctor from the Medical-Judicial Unit (UMJ). He granted him three days of total incapacity for work (ITT) for a facial injury and very severe anxiety.

“He needs to get treatment.”

At the helm, Salima did not feel able to maintain her position in the presence of Ameur and the public. She gave a written document to the public prosecutor who agreed to read it: “The gentleman has been consuming cannabis on a daily basis since the age of 20. That's why he's always very nervous. I was surprised and disappointed to see him quietly return home after his arrest and stay there. He gained confidence and it hurt my heart! He does things and then asks for forgiveness. We cannot always forgive. He needs to get treatment. »

Then, she clarified that she did not want to divorce because of the children while specifying that they ran no risk with their father.

Ameur attempted to provide explanations for his behavior. “When I’m angry, I say things I don’t mean!” But my things are mine, personally. You must not touch it. The knife is my fishing knife. I took it to put it away because it had no use in the kitchen. I had it along my body, she thought it was for her. » Then he was very conciliatory towards Salima: “II don't blame him for calling the police. I would have done the same! But I don't want to part with her! »

8 months suspended prison sentence

The representative of the public prosecutor began her requisitions by taking note of the resumption of common life. However, she has considered the file worrying in view of the number of complaints and complaints filed by Salima. She also castigated the behavior of Ameur, whom she described as “adolescent”. “Putting yourself into such states of anger for such futile reasons is unthinkable. If the gentleman is having such difficulty living with the lady because she did not buy toothpaste, we have solutions. The first is called -Chauconin. »

The judge followed the prosecutor and inflicted Ameur eight months in prison with a probationary suspension strengthened by three years. He must submit to a series of obligations : psychiatric – psychological – addictological care, accountability course on violence within the couple, course on gender equality. He must also respect the ban on carrying or possessing weapons.
