It’s official: the skating rink at Parc du Domaine-Howard, in Sherbrooke, has been open since noon on Tuesday.
Thanks to the cold snap in recent days, teams were able to be sent into the field to water the ice. The latter has now reached the safe thickness of 15 cm.
The frozen pond is open for free skating every day from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., if the weather permits
indicates the City’s website.
An interactive map is also available on this same website to see the state of all the ice rinks in Sherbrooke.
Last year, the Domaine-Howard pond was able to welcome skaters sporadically from January 9 due to changing weather. The year before, mild weather completely prevented the rink from opening.
