The snow is not about to melt in southern Quebec: until Thursday, flakes will even add to the white blanket covering the region. And to the great delight of skiers, around twenty centimeters of snow will also cover the Estrie mountains.

A few additional centimeters of snow will fall in the Montreal region by Thursday morning, according to Environment Canada, which forecasts similar conditions in the Trois-Rivières, Gatineau and Quebec regions.
And white cover will remain on the ground in most of these areas, due to cold temperatures forecast for the next week.
Gusts of 14 to 50 km/h are also expected in southern Quebec. “These are not extreme winds, but it will be possible to have blowing snow in places,” specifies Gina Ressler, meteorologist at Environment Canada.
In Estrie, between 10 and 15 cm of snow are forecast by Friday, but even more flakes will accumulate on the ski slopes. Nearly 25 cm of snow is forecast by Friday in higher areas of the region, such as the mountains.
The snow will fall especially on the banks of the St. Lawrence River. Environment Canada has notably issued a warning for Bas-Saint-Laurent and Gaspésie, where 30 to 50 cm of snow are forecast by the end of the week.
The next few days also promise to be white in Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean, where 30 to 40 centimeters of snow will accumulate before Thursday.
