Ms. Mansouri noted that despite these efforts, the main problem hindering the granting of construction permits in rural areas lies in problems related to land and ownership documents, stressing that this “represents a challenge for urban agencies and local authorities in the process of granting building permits.
The minister recalled, in this sense, that bill no. 90/12 relating to town planning is “ready and is the subject of consultations with the partners concerned”, alongside the bill on agencies urban areas which includes a special center for the rural world.
