The municipal council of Conflans-Sainte-Honorine (Yvelines) voted a wishMonday December 16, 2024 “for a rapid return to normal of the public bus service passing through Conflans-Sainte-Honorine and operated by Francilité Seine-et-Oise”.
As a reminder, the Cergy-Pontoise Confluence network, and its 32 bus lines which serve Cergy-Pontoise, Conflans and Achères, on behalf of Ile-de-France Mobilités (Idfm) is impacted by a bus drivers' strike which has lasted since November 7.
Mayor Laurent Brosse (Horizons) denounced a situation that was “unbearable for Conflanais on a daily basis”.
He calls “for a resumption of negotiations between all parties with the aim of reaching a compromise and a resumption of service as quickly as possible. »
In his speech, the councilor also asked for “an improvement in service, respect for traffic schedules and an increase in the frequency of passages”.
A replacement service?
Opposition elected official Mickaël Littière (Renaissance) began his speech by making tribute to Ludovica bus driver who ended his life in this context of strike.
“We understand that employees are defending themselves for the preservation of certain social gains, but we deplore methods, such as blocking deposits, used by a minority and the refusal to compromise with management. »
The municipal councilor in favor of the wish requested the establishment ofa replacement service or emergency with the Busphone.
For her part, Maria Escribano (Ps) affirmed that contrary to what is written in the wish proposed by the mayor, “a bailiff noted that the entry and exit of vehicles was possible”. According to her, “in order to reach a compromise and a resumption of services, the company must accept salary negotiation”.
She adds: “you forget to mention that the proposals made by the company are profoundly unfair.” His group therefore voted against this wish.
“I do not know the daily life of bus drivers nor that of Lacroix & Savac and I consider that I do not have to give my point of view on the relevance of each,” replied the mayor.
He recalls that the Busphone is already full during rush hour and the town hall has not not the means to set up a replacement service.
