In response to oral questions on “the fight against violence against women”, in the House of Representatives, Ms. Ben Yahya stressed that monitoring the implementation of this law and its implementing decree is part of as part of the ministry’s efforts to combat this scourge on a legal level.

For 2024, the ministry has allocated financial support totaling 26 million dirhams to reception centers for women victims of violence, in addition to financing 79 projects for listening and guidance centers for these women, added the minister.

Regarding the standardization of care services for women victims of violence, Ms. Ben Yahya noted the development by the ministry of a reference guide for the care of this category within multifunctional establishments, in the aim of establishing rules and criteria for providing basic services in these establishments, in addition to raising awareness and combating stereotypes.

As part of the ministry’s preventive approach, the minister recalled the launch of the 22nd national campaign to combat violence against women and girls under the theme “For a family environment favorable to social development without violence against women.

Organized from November 25 to December 18, 2024, the campaign was marked by the holding of more than 1,557 activities in the different regions of the Kingdom, with 152 participants, she said.

Ms. Ben Yahya affirmed that the ministry’s action to combat this phenomenon goes hand in hand with the application of constitutional provisions aimed at combating discrimination against women, in line with the High Royal Guidelines to promote the condition of women in all areas and protect them from all forms of discrimination.
