Dinosaurs are definitely becoming commonplace in Paris! After having invaded the gardens of the capital for Christmas, it is now the banks of the Seine which welcome a prehistoric guest. If you venture towards the Pont de l'Alma side, precisely at the Port de la Conference, at the Bateaux-Mouches pier, you will come across this imposing silver tyrannosaurus skeleton which overlooks the Parisian river to its full height. Created by the artist Philippe Eastereach piece of this sculpture has been carefully molded according to a real tyrannosaurus skeletonfor a strikingly realistic and frightening result!
With its 7 meters long and 4.5 meters high, this sculpture made up of 350 bones in aluminum and chrome would almost eclipse its neighbor the Iron Lady… Behind the imposing stature of this Cretaceous travelerthe work also reminds us that even the most feared species in the history of the Earth has met its end, returning humanity to its fragility: a message at the heart of the artist's work, which advances the Humanity “could also become extinct after having destroyed its biosphere”. Since 1987, Pasqua has explored through his art the themes of vanities, the body and deathand this sculpture is a new incarnation, with its ephemeral beauty which exudes a striking melancholy…
