The new features of this 2025 season of Big Bang are to be found in the form.
“The bottom line is always the same. On the other hand, we will be present in the Nevers area. It is a desire shared between elected officials and us to involve these municipalities more.”
Two in this case: Sermoise-sur-Loire with Aerial at the village hall Thursday March 13 at 8:30 p.m. and Garchizy with Django’s Songs Friday April 4 at 8:30 p.m. at the Salle de l’Entre-Fêtes.
“This will continue during the D’jazz Nevers festival 2025 in a town which should be Coulanges-lès-Nevers,” reveals Roger Fontanel, director.
As for the groups which will perform at the Café Charbon in Nevers, “they will be structured around the regional, national or European voice. This will be an opportunity to attract another audience,” hopes Roger Fontanel.
“I want to get away from the clichés of the vaporous voices of the jazz world.”
Three voices, three women
The Big Bang season opens with the first of three guest singers this year. That of Burgundian Célia Forestier and her quartet JUNE Thursday January 9, they present their residency release entitled Joy Underneath at 6:30 p.m. at Café Charbon. Entrance is free.
The sextet La Sido, for singer Sidonie Dubosc, will pay tribute to three women, Barbara, Colette Magny and Anne Sylvestre, Friday February 7 at 8:30 p.m.
The third voice is that of Charlotte Planchou in a duet with pianist Mark Priore Friday March 21 at 8:30 p.m.
