Where and until when to leave your Christmas trees in Haute-Savoie?

As the first week of January has passed, the time to throw out your tree is getting closer and closer. Here is where and until when it is possible to do so in Haute-Savoie.

January 11 and 25 in Annecy

“To avoid placing fir trees on public property, the City is making a skip available to residents of the city center on Saturdays, January 11 and 25, 2025,” specifies the town hall. These skips concern the lake district.

For those who do not live in the city center, there are recycling centers, including those on rue de la Frasse in Annecy-le-Vieux, that of rue des Terrasses in Cran-Gevrier and that of Chemin Falquet at Annecy.

From December 27 to January 15 in Evian

HAS Evian, collection takes place at three points:

• West entrance to Evian from Amphion: point I
• East entrance to Evian: Place Lucien Bonnaz
• Former Chez Bordet school (Hauts d’Evian)

From January 6 to 17 in Thonon

Users must only leave their Christmas trees the evening before the collection day for the yellow sorting bags and bins. The fir trees must be placed on public property, near the usual collection points, between January 6 and 17.

Until January 26 in Annemasse

Here are the 14 collection points at Annemasse, as well as the 10 in Saint-Julien en Genevois:

Annemasse: Martin Luther King complex, rue Camps, rue de la Paix, in Chablais Park, MJC Center, rue Jean-Baptiste Charcot, at Ferme Chalut, Place du jumelage, Place du cirque (street side of the path), in Château- Red, at the Floquet room, Route de Bonneville, rue des Glières.

Saint-Julien in Geneva : parking lot of the Groupe Scolaire Puy-St-Martin, at the Thairy cemetery parking lot, on Chemin de Certoux, at the Chabloux parking lot, in l'Arande, in rue de l'Industrie – Ternier district, in rue Général Dessaix, in the parking lot of the Cervonnex Leisure Center, in Lathoy (at the selective sorting area towards the old school) and on the Place du Marché.
