circulation disrupted for 3 months

Important works will take place at the start of 2025 in Songeons (Oise) for a period of 3 months. The municipality is beginning the total renovation of Place de la Halle. They will particularly impact the centre you village.

Works from January 7

The work begins on January 7, 2025 and will continue for 3 months, until March. There circulation will be disrupted as well as the parking.

Traffic prohibited from January 14 to 19

Traffic will be prohibited from PMU to the veterinary clinic on the road to Morvillers for a week from January 14 to 19. Then the traffic will be alternate.

Bus stop moved

The work “will not prevent buses from operating” specifies Jean-Claude Baguetmayor of Songeons.

During the duration of the work, the bus stop located on Place de la Halle will be moved in front of No. 9 Morvillers road.

The market moved

A project which will also have an impact on the performance of the market. This will be moved to the parking lot of the Place du Franc-Marché.

This work is part of the town center revitalization program. This is the 3rd phase.

Priority to sanitation

After an important diagnosis sanitation over several years, “we realized that the priority for the work to be done was the sanitation network precisely under the Place de la Halle” notes the mayor.

We are therefore taking advantage of the renovation of the square to carry out the sanitation work just beforehand.

The renovation of the hall sector consists of modifying the'lighting and the total overhaul of the parking.

Revitalization

This 3rd phase of work to revitalize the town center of Songeons is taking place after the repair of the sidewalks on rue du Franc-Marché and rue de Verdun and the development of the town center.

2 million euros

In total, the town's revitalization project includes 6 phases at a cost of 2 million euros. They focus on areas in the city center. The objective is to facilitate accessibility for pedestrians and strengthen the commercial fabric.

For all of the work, the Region helps the municipality up to 50%. It's done. “We are doing the work gradually according to our budget,” notes the mayor.

Essential subsidies

And depending on the subsidies allocated by the Department, the municipality cannot finance such projects alone.

In the future, 3 other phases are planned: restructuring work will be carried out from the old bookstore to the top of the town hall hill. Then a 5th phase from the old bookstore to the former study of Maître Dumard. A final phase is planned in front of the church and in front of the HLM.
