Maubuisson Abbey – Contemporary art site

  • Until February 23, 2025: Exhibition Beyond the Unseen
    This new exhibition proposes to bring together the artistic approaches of Cécile Beau and Grégoire Scalabre with a view to perpetuating the question of plant and landscape heritage and that of artisanal know-how giving rise to a unique dialogue between the history of the abbey and its contemporary transcription.
  • From January to February : Performances, guided tours, night tours, visits with babies, ceramic workshops, printing, writing games… at the dawn of this new year, an anthology of discoveries awaits you in the heart of an exceptional site!

Until November 2, 2025:
Extension of the exhibition Van Gogh, the last journeys
Given the remarkable success of the exhibition with the international public (+50,000 visitors), it is extended for one year and enriched with around thirty works for an equally captivating second part.
In addition to self-guided tours, with or without audio guides, guided tours are offered to the public by reservation.

Departmental Archaeological Museum of Val d'Oise

Famous for her police investigations, Agatha Christie (1890-1976) was also an adventurer who loved the Middle East. The “Queen of Crime” met her husband, archaeologist Max Mallowan, at the site of Ur in Iraq. Present at his side during the missions he leads, the author is a full member of the team of archaeologists.

Through this captivating exhibition, set off on an adventure and discover this aspect of the author's life which takes its source from Agatha Christie's archives.

Departmental Archeology Service of Val d'Oise

  • January 15, 2025: Postcards: between personal stories and stories of the Valdois territory. Conference led by Marie-Hélène Peltier, as part of the “Crossed Stories in Val d'Oise” conference cycle offered by the Departmental Archives and the Departmental Archeology Service of Val d'Oise. Postcards are both collector's items and documentary resources for those interested in the past of their territory. The rich double-sided digitized collection of the Departmental Archives of Val-d'Oise allows us to discuss their production context but also what they tell us about landscapes, heritage and society.
