The draft organic law defining the conditions and modalities for exercising the right to strike will be subject to additional amendments in the House of Advisors, said, Monday in Rabat, the Minister of Economic Inclusion, Small Business, Employment and Skills, Younes Sekkouri.
The discussion and adoption by the House of Representatives of the organic bill relating to the strike “constituted a major step and made it possible to undertake important modifications”, the minister underlined to the press at the end of the meeting. of the Committee on Education, Cultural and Social Affairs to the House of Advisors, noting that the text remains incomplete and does not yet constitute the final version.
It was agreed with the union components in the House of Advisors to begin negotiations on the project at the level of union formations from Tuesday January 7 in parallel with its submission to the committee concerned on Thursday, while discussions in plenary session will be initiated on January 15, the minister said.
Y. Sekkouri stressed that the government and the unions are driven by a strong desire to achieve an organic law relating to the strike in the service of workers and a number of other integrated categories, expressing the government’s willingness to work within the framework of the Chamber of Advisors to achieve a law in line with Morocco of the 21st century and the aspirations of all categories.
As a reminder, the House of Representatives had recently adopted, by majority, the organic bill defining the conditions and modalities for exercising the right to strike as a whole, as it was modified and approved by the House .
