Morbihan departmental championships in Saint-Brieuc

You achieved a time of 3'58''14 over 1,500 m. Are you satisfied?

I wanted to get closer to my outdoor record (3'52''). We started with a base of 3'50'' with a very strong guy (Ewen Toulgoat). I tried to follow him but quickly farted. It was not a good race in terms of management and sensations. But there is the title and I put eight seconds behind my indoor record. So I remember that.

Are you going to do a series of racing weekends this winter?

Yes. Saturday, there is the 3,000 m in Saint-Brieuc, support for the championships. The goal is to be a hopeful champion. But there is a big series. There will be 15 runners with times ranging from 8'08 to 8'25''. I have never run such a dense race on a track. Then, there is another “Bretagne” over 800 or 1,500 m. Then a national meeting with a 1,500 m to try to qualify for “”.

Do you have several goals this year?

Yes. There is the mixed cross relay. We are going to France (February 9 in Combourg). There is also the France relay over 10 km in Saint-Tropez in March with Jules (Kerjean) and Noa (Le Gratiet). We can hope to do less than 31' and we are aiming for a team podium.

When did you join ACRLP?

In 2021. Before, I played basketball in Pontivy. With the Covid, there were no more matches. It irritated me to train for nothing. We did 30-30 training sessions on the athletic track. Rémi (Le Yaouanq, the coach of ACRLP Pontivy) spotted me and asked me to come. He passed on his passion to me.
