A new Lidl opens its doors in Saint-Denis (Seine-Saint-Denis). And not least: spacious and welcoming, it is above all “sustainable”. This Wednesday, January 8, 2025, a supermarket with a sustainable energy policy is offered to the Dionysians. Sustainable materials, low-consumption equipment, posters that light up with green electricity… Lidl wants to take a turn for ecology with this 999 m² supermarket.

100% recyclable packaging

“Lidl develops, in partnership with experts, innovative solutions according to its 'Avoid, Reduce, Compensate, Participate' approach at each stage of a new building project by working on the axes: 'energy transition' and 'ecoconstruction'” , indicates the brand in a press release.

No less than 34 employees will take care of this new supermarket located at 64 rue de la République. By the end of the year, Lidl wants to expect 100% recyclable packaging and reduce the share of plastic used in the same packaging of own-brand products by 29%.
