Around thirty members of the Union Cycliste du Puy-en-Velay were present in the Estables station for a “day of cohesion”.
This day of sporting relaxation organized by the club had several objectives. Discover and improve your skills in cross-country skiing, explore an outdoor sporting alternative when cycling cannot be practiced, strengthen group spirit and cohesion between the club's young competitors and above all share a good day of conviviality in full nature.
The morning was dedicated to learning how to skate, with exercises suitable for beginners covering braking, turns and propulsion. Meanwhile, the more experienced participants completed a loop of a few kilometers around Mont Alambre to warm up. Around noon, the members shared a nice picnic, sheltered around the stove, thus enjoying a moment of discussion.
In the afternoon, several level groups set off on various perfectly snow-covered routes traced in the environment. The Coste Belle circuit (13 km), the tour of Mont Alambre (6.5 km), and a tour of more than 15 km around Mézenc for the more experienced.
At the end of the day, everyone gathered to share a snack, thus concluding this sporting and friendly activity.
