The arrivals of the leading duo Charlie Dalin (Macif) and Yoan Richomme (Paprec Arkéa) are scheduled between January 14 and 15, 2025.
To welcome them properly, the Vendée Globe organization is pulling out all the stops with a finish village on the Place du Vendée Globe, in Les Sables-d'Olonne.
What date? How to enter the village? We'll explain it to you.
No need for a ticket anymore!
This was the information that made people cringe when it was announced. Mandatory to access the starting village, the ticket will no longer be valid for the arrival village. The entrance to the village is open, free and without a ticket.
Access to the village is possible from the arrival of the winner and until the last skipper. Please note that all stands and activities will be open to the public from January 16 until February 2, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Entertainment
When the winner arrives, the experience promises to be unforgettable with a fireworks display planned for the return of the big winner's channel.
Obviously, an arrivals system will be put in place to accommodate all skippers:
- A stage, a giant screen will be set up to welcome visitors in a friendly atmosphere until February 2.
- The TV set to watch the Vendée Live show every day at 12:30 p.m. which remains open until February 2.
- A unique moment: going up the channel: witness this magical moment when the skippers, welcomed by thousands of spectators, greet the crowd gathered on the quays.
In front of your screen
For those who will not have the chance to go there, a large system is set up on television and on social networks. The passage of the line and the winner's journey up the channel will be broadcast live on France Télévision and many other channels in France and internationally.
Finally, all arrivals, day and nightwill be broadcast live on the official Vendée Globe pages, in French and English, via YouTube and on the race Facebook page.
