Denise Feix, a key figure in Bétaille in recent years, died at the age of 95 on December 30, 2024.
Originally from Bétaille, Denise Feix entered the Customs administration in in 1948, at the age of 19, where she quickly assumed secretarial functions with the Deputy Director General of Customs and Indirect Rights, then with the Secretary of State for the Budget. In May 1972, Denise Feix was assigned to the office of President of the National Assembly Achille Peretti.

With Edgar Faure, Chaban-Delmas, Alain Poher

She will also work alongside Edgar Faure and Jacques Chaban-Delmas, before joining Alain Poher, President of the Senate. In September 1984, she joined Michel Baroin, president and CEO of the GMF. She returned to Customs in 1991 before being called upon again by Alain Poher, President of the Senate, until his retirement in 1994.

This remarkable career under the gold of the Republic earned Denise Feix the award in 2012 of the insignia of officer of the National Order of Merit from the hands of Raymond Sasia, honorary inspector general of the national police, commander of the Legion of honor, Commander of the National Order of Merit, and with whom she had forged very deep bonds of friendship.

Deputy mayor from 1977 to 2001

In Bétaille, she was elected in the municipal elections of 1977 and became deputy mayor Christian Delrieu until 2001. In 1983, she created the Nostre Païs association, of which she left the presidency in February 2024. In February 2000, she became volunteer president from the Haut-Quercy Dordogne tourist office in Carennac until 2011.

His funeral took place this Friday, January 3 in Bétaille in the presence of a large audience including several personalities. To his family and friends, La Dépêche presents its condolences.
