Urban planning in Larache: Demarcation of the perimeters of the douars for controlled development

As part of the territorial development of the province of Larache, the schemes for demarcating the perimeters of douars experiencing increasing urban pressure were recently adopted. This measure concerns 18 douars located in the rural communes of Laaouamera, Zouada and Ksar Bjir, over an area of 1,259 hectares.

This initiative was formalized during a meeting chaired by the governor of the province of Larache, Bouassam El Alamine, and in the presence of local authorities as well as the director of the Larache-Ouezzane Urban Agency and regional inspectors from the urban planning. It aims to support rural development while facilitating the supervision of construction in the areas concerned.

The delimitation schemes aim to simplify the construction procedure in rural areas, in accordance with the joint ministerial circular of April 28, 2023 between the Ministry of Regional Planning and the Ministry of the Interior. These drawings will serve as a reference framework for construction authorization and can be adjusted if necessary.
