A windy night throughout Haute- with gusts up to 112 km/h at Mazet-Saint-Voy

If the cold has given way to much milder temperatures since Sunday, and again very markedly this Monday morning, it is under the effect of the south wind. A wind which blew very strongly during the night from Sunday to Monday across the entire Haute- department. Locally, particularly in the east of the department, the gusts measured exceeded 100 km/h.

This is the case at the Mazet-Volamont weather station (infoclimat) where gusts exceeded 100 km/h from 9 p.m. on Sunday evening to reach a maximum of 112 km/h (still in gusts) around 1 a.m. . It is also in this same time slot that a gust of 100 km/h all around was measured at the Landos-Charbon weather station (weather forecast). Around 3 a.m., a gust was recorded at 99 km/h at the Puy-Chadrac weather station (weather forecast) and another at 89 km/h at the same time in Monistrol-sur-Loire. At the Puy-Loudes weather station, the wind barely exceeded 75 km/h in gusts like Sunday evening around 10 p.m.

If branches and trees have fallen here or there on the roads, “there is no particular damage or major power outages on the network in Haute-Loire” noted Enedis this Monday morning.
