The Peninsula Paris is celebrating the Chinese New Year 2025, next Tuesday, January 28, with a festive menu punctuated by lion dances.
Faithful to its origin, the group The Peninsula Hotels celebrates the Chinese New Year every year. This is therefore the case of the Peninsula Paris which celebrates the arrival of theyear of the Wood Snake with a program combining gastronomy and festive entertainment, this Tuesday January 28, 2025.
On this occasion, the chef Taklau Yuen and his team unveil a tasting menu to share at the Cantonese gourmet restaurant Lili. Count €288 for the party menu per person (excluding drinks), composed of key Chinese New Year recipes, each with a particular meaning.
To liven up this evening, lion dances and musicians will be there. In Chinese tradition, the lion, symbol of courage and wisdom, is seen as a lucky animal. During the event, dancers disguised as lions will mingle with the guests, skilfully imitating the movements and behaviors characteristic of this animal.
LiLi Restaurant also offers its own Lai Seethese famous red envelopes containing messages of good fortune, and for some envelopes, surprises hidden inside.
