The life of a coach is never a long, quiet river. Relieved to see Kylian Mbappé gradually becoming a high-level footballer again, Didier Deschamps had to take his head in both hands when he saw two of his players, Mattéo Guendouzi and Manu Koné, getting dirty in the middle of the Roman derby, on Sunday, on occasion of the 19th day of Serie A.
In an already tense match, the two men almost came to blows after a very strong tackle from Koné on “Guendouz”, while Roma were already leading (2-0) in the score. Before the meeting, the first city had announced the color by specifying that there would be “no friends” on the field during this historic Rome derby.

Although neither player was sanctioned by the referee, the match almost turned into a general fight after another “Hello muscle guys” intervention by Mats Hummels on Valentin Castellanos. Author of an ugly gesture of humor, the latter took a red, just like a member of the Roma staff.
Roma revives with Ranieri
The success of AS Roma confirms the improvement for the Louve club since Claudio Ranieri came out of retirement to play duty firefighters. Roma sporting director since the start of the season, Florent Ghisolfi even suggested that he would like the adventure to continue over time with the Italian coach.
“I hope so, he does an excellent job, it’s an incredible chance to work with him,” he explained on Sunday. True to himself, the former Monaco and Nantes coach reacted with humor to this outing: “He was intelligent, he said that so that people would stop asking him who the next Roma coach will be.” A few moments earlier, it was Koné who complimented the Mister. “I would like him to stay to train us next season as well,” said Guendouzi’s best friend after the match at Sky’s microphone.
