2024 marks a strategic turning point for TO TOP, business installed at Thégranear Gramat, with the arrival of Stéphane Chèze at the head of the company, succeeding Gauthier Demol. This transition is accompanied by a dynamic of growth and new opportunities forjob to cope with the activity.

A former member of the SAFRAN group

Stéphane Chèze, engineer graduated fromNaval Schoolspent a large part of his career in the French Navy. In civilian life, he held several management positions within the SAFRAN groupwhere he worked on military program projects.

He expresses his enthusiasm: “I am delighted to join the company and actively contribute to the development of ITOPP. High Pulsed Powers

Based in Thégra, near Gramat, ITOPP designs, operates and tests high power pulsed and high power microwave generators for the fields of research and defense. High Pulsed Powers are a set of technologies which make it possible to amplify the electrical power delivered by a system by reducing the duration of the pulse. ITOPP thus produces systems capable of delivering currents of several million amperes, voltages of several million volts for durations which can be less than one hundred billionths of a second. The powers delivered can thus exceed a hundred gigawatts.

These high pulsed powers (HPP) are used, for example, at the CEA of Gramat in nuclear research to study interactions with matter, while in Toulouse lightning simulators use high energy electrical discharges to test the resistance of systems and materials to lightning impacts.
