End of the confectioners’ truce this weekend across Quiévrain! This gave rise to a great battle on the side of Waregem where the locals achieved a nice success in view of the ranking. Facing Kortrijk, Eva VAN GILS (14 points, 2 assists) and his partners were initially held in check during the first period. But coming back from the locker room, they were able to raise their level of play (18-15 in the third act) and that was enough to get the better of Emma BELL (17 points, 7 rebounds) and his own, who must blame themselves. Close match also in Charleroi where the Carolos were, again, put in difficulty for a long time by the visibly vengeful Liégeoises at the start of 2025 (50-52, 30′). At the very end of the match, Lynn HERING (18 points, 9 rebounds) and the locals still ended up finding some extra spirit to pass a 22-12 in 10 minutes which allowed them to turn the tide and therefore win on their home field.

To see a lot of baskets; Lummen was the place to be on Saturday evening! After a good start to Sam VAN BUGGENHOUT (24 points, 7 rebounds) and players from Phantoms Boom (17-25, 10′), they saw the red lantern regain shine, under the impetus of Jaleesa MAES (24 points, 4 rebounds). Thus, at halftime, the two teams were neck and neck (43-45, 20′). It was finally in the last quarter that logic was respected, seeing Boom bring down his evening opponent. On the other hand, there was not really a match between Ghent and Brunehaut. In fact, very quickly, a Louise THE SPIRIT gala performance (20 points, 21 rebounds) allowed Ghent to distance themselves from their opposite number (42-15, 20′). From then on, the second period was going to be anecdotal, even if the visitors saved the honor in the last quarter (16-20).

After being scared in the first leg (60-61), Braine showed that he had learned from his mistakes even if in the meantime, the squad had changed, notably because of some physical glitches. This time, after a rather sluggish start (12-14, 10′), the girls of Frédéric DUSART imposed their law, relying on a trio composed of Juju REDMOND (19 points, 8 rebounds), Quay MILLER (16 points, 16 rebounds and Tereza VITULOVA (14 points, 8 assists), facing the Namuroises who had become powerless again. So, after 30 minutes, the hardest part was done by the Brainoises (51-34, 30′). Still not satisfied, they continued their efforts until the end of the meeting, achieving a comfortable success. Note that Zoé WADOUX scored 8 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 33 minutes in this game. Sunday afternoon, Kangoeroes Malines treated itself to another walk in the park. After what we would describe as a 10-minute observation round (22-18, 10′), the Malinoises pulled out all the stops against a Donza team which was never capable of disrupting a Cate REESE once again extraordinary (35 points, 23 rebounds).
